Workshop downloads are handled one panorama at a time. For a small project this is annoying. For a larger commercial scan it becomes repetitive production work before the actual tour build even begins.

Standard Workshop exports are not precision leveled. If the horizon matters, every panorama has to be checked and corrected before it is ready for a polished 3DVista tour.

No clean scan-group starting point

Isolated panorama files do not give you the same workflow advantage as a dataset that preserves the scan positions as a consistent group. In 3DVista, that difference matters when you want to connect panoramas quickly and keep the project organized.

The goal is simple: start the 3DVista build with clean, high-resolution panorama files instead of doing cleanup first.

What 16K Native Delivers for 3DVista

You receive a ZIP file with standard equirectangular JPEG panoramas. Extract it, import the files into 3DVista, and start building from a prepared panorama dataset.

Native 16K detail. Production Master delivers 16,384 x 8,192 pixels per scan position from native Matterport source imagery. Performance Standard delivers 12K output from the same native 16K source data when smaller files are the better fit.

Precision leveled. Each scan-position panorama is leveled using the camera-recorded orientation data. This avoids visual guessing, manual control points, and panorama-by-panorama horizon correction.

Consistent scan layout. Scan positions include layout data that preserves their relationship to each other. In compatible tour-building workflows, the scan group gives you a cleaner starting point than isolated panorama files.

Standard JPEG output. The files are portable and can be used in 3DVista, Pano2VR, KRPano, Kuula, Marzipano, Google Street View workflows, and standard image software.

Step-by-Step Import into 3DVista

  1. Receive your panorama set from 16K Native. Download the ZIP file and extract it to a local folder.
  2. Open 3DVista Virtual Tour Pro. Create a new project or open an existing one.
  3. Import your panoramas. Click Add Media, then select Import Panorama, then Standard Panorama. In the file dialog, select all panorama files from the extracted folder.
  4. Apply orientation data when prompted. 3DVista may detect embedded orientation data and ask whether to apply it. Confirm and apply it to all panoramas.
  5. Start building. Your panorama set is imported as prepared, leveled standard JPEG output. Continue with your normal skin, hotspot, connection, and publishing workflow.

Auto-Connect and Relative Positioning

3DVista workflows benefit from panorama files that are not just a pile of unrelated images. 16K Native preserves the scan group as a consistent layout, giving you a cleaner starting point for tour construction and connection work.

This is relative positioning, not a promise of real-world map alignment. The scan group preserves the relationship between scan positions. If the project must be placed on a real map or prepared for Google Street View, that is a separate advanced workflow.

  1. Import the workflow sample into 3DVista as standard panoramas.
  2. Check how the scan positions arrive as a related group rather than unrelated standalone images.
  3. Run your normal connection or auto-connect workflow and compare the starting point with standard Workshop exports.
Important: Relative positioning is not the same as north alignment or exact map placement. The standard 16K Native products focus on native resolution, precision leveling, and consistent scan layout.

Advanced: Google Street View from 3DVista

Google Street View publishing from 3DVista is the one place where exact map placement and north heading can become critical. 3DVista does not make it easy to move and rotate a complete panorama group on the map, so large projects can become painful if every panorama has to be positioned and oriented manually.

For that specific use case, custom geo alignment is available on request. The scan group can be placed against real-world map context and corrected with a project-specific rotation angle so that positions and heading data are prepared for a Google Street View workflow.

This is not part of the standard online order, because it requires manual project-specific alignment and review. It is best treated as a custom add-on for projects where Google Street View publishing from 3DVista is actually required.
